Working in Partnership

Welcome to ISS!

A Message from Sharon Nicholson, Key Account Director for

the North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT)

Earlier this year, ISS was delighted to confirm our new partnership with North East London Foundation Trust. From 1 August 2026, ISS will be responsible for delivering soft FM services across the Trust, including helpdesk, patient catering, portering and cleaning services. We are genuinely excited about this partnership and the opportunities it brings for colleagues and for the patient experience.

You and the wider team delivering these services at NELFT are central to the success of this new contract, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to ISS.

Town Hall Sessions held in June

Thank you to everyone who joined the Town Hall sessions on Wednesday 3rd June at the Old Goodmayes Hospital. Representatives from Mitie and ISS were present which provided an opportunity for discussion. If you missed the town hall, you can see the slides here

121 Meetings – Ongoing

As part of your transfer to ISS, we will hold individual 121 meetings with every colleague. These are essential to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible.

During your meeting, we will:

  • collect essential details such as bank information,

  • Carry out a Right to Work Check

  • register any questions you may have about the transfer.

It is important that we gather all required information at these meetings. Please see here the documents you need for your Right to Work check.

Collective Consultation Update

We have now commenced formal consultation meetings with employee representatives. If you have any questions about proposed measures or potential changes, please speak with your employee representative so they can raise these within the collective consultation process. However, if you need to contact us directly please email: NELFTupe@uk.issworld.com.

In Other News

We wanted to share a wider update from ISS to give you a feel for our organisation. Last month, ISS held a recognition ceremony celebrating our monthly Apple Award winners and announcing this year’s UK & Ireland Annual Apple Award recipient. The Apple Award recognises colleagues who go above and beyond in delivering outstanding service for our customers. This year’s winner was Cormack Mylchreest, based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, who received a £3,000 holiday voucher. You can watch the video of the announcement below.

We hope to see future Apple Award winners from our NELFT contract in the months ahead!

About the Process

Under TUPE, our communication with transferring colleagues must follow specific rules. This means all updates will be delivered through the agreed channels – this website, the collective consultation meetings, your current employer and our email address: NELFTupe@uk.issworld.com – until your transfer date of 1 August 2026.

From that point, we will be able to meet the team fully, spend time on site, and begin shaping our future partnership with North East London Foundation Trust together.

We hope you are feeling reassured and positive about the move to ISS. We recognise that change can feel uncertain, but please be confident that ISS is a supportive organisation, committed to delivering an exceptional service for North East London Foundation Trust and to creating a great place to work for our teams.

Thank you for your patience and professionalism as we follow the TUPE process.

We look forward to welcoming you from 1 August

We will continue to update this website with helpful information, so please check back regularly.
